Packing List for Treatment, The Details
Most people pack in about an hour once they know what actually matters. Comfortable clothes for a week or so, your ID, your insurance card, and any current prescriptions in their original labeled bottles. That covers the essentials at New Path Behavioral, and the rest is just making the space feel a little more like your own.
Bring these:
- Weather-appropriate clothes you can layer, plus something comfortable to sleep in
- Closed-toe shoes and a pair for exercise if you have them
- Photo ID and your insurance card
- Prescription medications in the original pharmacy bottles
- A short list of phone numbers you want to keep in reach
- A few personal items like photos or a journal
Leave these at home:
- Alcohol, any non-prescribed substances, and anything containing them (mouthwash, some cold medicines)
- Weapons or sharp objects
- Expensive jewelry or large amounts of cash
If you are unsure about a specific item, pack it separately and ask when you arrive. Someone will help you sort it out.
